Color

WHAT IS COLOR? Color is how we express ourselves. Ever heard the saying “seeing red” or “I was so mad I saw red”? That’s because we often associate the color red with Anger. We also think of it as Excitement, Youth, and Boldness. We do this with all the colors subconsciously. I also learned that you can bring certain colors out by pairing them with other colors that either contrast, clash, or compliment each other. If you pair an orange background with a black silhouette, it really stands out!! You can do all of this with Color and so much more!!

What is Graphic Design?!?

What is Graphic Design?!? Graphic Design: Google(the best website in the whole world) puts it simply as the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. Most GD conveys an image, a message, a language. However GOOD GD makes peoples lives better!! It’s a language for the living. It can be quirky! Or ugly! Or beautiful! Whatever it needs to be. And most of all, Graphic Design is simply dong what is right, not what the survey s ays.  Only Graphic Design is like Graphic Design.

Interveiw

Hate to say it, but I’m moving on! I’m leaving my video branch, and I’m going to the Graphic Design branch. However, I’ve made this last video talking about my time in Video. This video was an assignment given where we had to create six questions with six answers that pertained to the Program. It was a little difficult to make, just because we were using our original audio for the first time. I apologize for the few flaws that are in it. :) Hopefully next time I can fix that, maybe by adjusting my Mic Gain or something of the sort. When we were filming my partner’s video, we accidentally had the Mic Gain all the way down, so we had to film her video again. Oops. At one point, I put my hands up near the microphone, and it seemed to cut out background a little bit. I  hope you like it!!!

Insanity: The Chase

Insanity: The Chase is a video that I made in my eComm class. Not only did we collaborate on it, but we took collaboration to the next level. We had a larger group this time and it made things a little bit more difficult, but we pushed through it and created a really awesome video. Collaboration was different in such a way that we would goof off too much, or be too serious. We need to have a more of a balance. I learned that we need to film an ENTIRE action, such as walking up the stairs and into the next hallway, so that we can connect all the shots together to create a flow of movement win no jump cuts. Hopefully in my next project, we will be a bit more serious and get things done so that we are not scrambling at the last minute to get everything edited and finished.
