I just read "Creative Anarchy at Its Very Best" by Denise Bosler, an article about how sometimes, breaking the rules of graphic design are simply necessary. However, you have to know the rules in order to break them. She then goes on to say that the things that catch your eye are the things that don't follow the mainstream. You're going to notice the tiny little thing that is unlike everything else, and that’s how it stands out in the design world. So how do you stand out in the design world? Creative Anarchy. You can't always follow the rules (rule following is for losers), but you also cant just break rules willy-nilly. You've got to get to know them first. I think that Bosler definitely knows what she's talking about. She has a very strong argument. I think she is pretty much trying to say that while rules give order in the chaos of everyday life, sometimes the chaos is what sparks the creative mind into action. She made her point...
