Olive Kickboxing

My video is about a girl named Olive who is a kickboxer. She spends much of her time at the gym, and really loves it. I honestly struggled to find a wide variety of shots for my story. I needed something other than Olive punching a bag, so I decided to film the preparation process and the ending process. Even though I didn’t end up using them in video, it still gave me other ideas for new thing to do in my later works. I learned a new way to film, and a new way to do things, and I really love it.

We’ve all seen this before. If you haven’t, you’ve been living under a graphic design rock. One of Andy Warhol’s most famous works, his portrait of Marilyn Monroe, is recognizable to anyone, just because of how famous the artist was. Using a publicity shot of Marilyn, Warhol created a few works through a silk screening process. He made the original, Marilyn , and then Marilyn Diptych , symbolizing the iconic woman’s death. In my own little way, I tried to create my own Andy-Warhol-based portraits of Hayley Willams, Gwen Stefani, Cara Delevingne, and Lady Gaga. What is Graphic Design?!? Graphic Design: Google(the best website in the whole world) puts it simply as the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books. Most GD conveys an image, a message, a language. However GOOD GD makes peoples lives better!! It’s a language for the living. It can be quirky! Or ugly! Or beautiful! Whatever it needs to be. And most of all, Graphic Design is simply dong what is right, not what the survey s ays. Only Graphic Design is like Graphic Design.
