Last Friday, my video class went to our school’s Annual Fall Blood Drive. We captured footage of the event, learning how to hold a camera steady without relying on the use of a tripod. In the process of creating the story, we had to first how to learn how to properly hold a camera, a microphone, and a list of questions all at the same time. We then went inside the Drive and filmed the event. I interviewed a couple of people, but my audio was, sadly, pretty awful. So I borrowed some footage from a couple people in my class. Along the way, I learned how to properly hold a camera and how to film a live event. Because a live event in live, you can’t really plan out what you are going to film before you get in there. So I had to think on the fly and plan my video on the fly. If I could do things any differently, I would choose to preview the area before I went in to film.
